Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCLIFFORD LEWIS IRELAND On Friday, July 13, 2001 Clifford Lewis Ireland passed away at the Carman Memorial Hospital with his family at his side at the age of 86 years. He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife Eunice; and his children, son Richard and daughter Gail (Ward) and grandchildren, Catherine (Joe) Stotts and Elizabeth (Ted) Osler; and three great-grandchildren all of Calgary, AB; and Eunices children, Doug (Diane) Mowbray and their children, Patrick and Erin; Lynn (John) Blatta and their children, Dave and Jim and their families. Cliff is also survived by one brother Bill (Muriel) Ireland of Ottawa, ON and one sister Isobel Lennon of Winnipeg. Cliff was born on September 19, 1914 at Morden, MB and grew up in Myrtle and Roland, MB. He worked for Monarch Lumber Co., later to become Revelstoke Lumber in Roland, Souris and Morden. Cliff was a kind and gentle man. He spent many happy hours on the golf course and enjoyed many trips to Phoenix. Cliff was in the Royal Canadian Air Force during the Second World War, was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion for 55 years, and was past Master and member of Shiloh Lodge No. 70. Cliff was pre-deceased by his first wife Edythe Mae Loree and his son-in-law Michael Ward. Funeral service will be held at the Roland United Church in Roland on Tuesday, July 17 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Chuck Ross officiating. Interment will take place in the Roland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers if friends so desire memorial donations may be made to the Carman Hospital Aux. Box 1025, Carman, MB R0G 0J0 or to a charity of ones choice.
