DAVID SVEINSON Peacefully, in his sleep on Wednesday, July 11, 2001 at the Selkirk Mental Health Centre, Selkirk, MB, David Sveinson, aged 81 years. David was predeceased by his parents, Gudrun and Herman Sveinson; and by his seven siblings, Stefania, Herman, Clifford, Oli, Frieda, Ruby and Oscar. He leaves behind two nieces, Bonnie Russell and Melody Davidson; as well as numerous friends and acquaintances. He was born in Lundar but when his mother became ill, he moved to Winnipeg and lived in both the Childrens Home and the Knowles School. His adult years were spent in Brandon until 1994 when he moved to Selkirk. David was a quiet, unassuming man who had two loves in life, walking and junk food. He especially enjoyed ice cream and chocolate cookies and pizza parties just wont be the same without him. A memorial service to celebrate Davids life will take place on Wednesday, July 18 at 10:00 a.m. at the Extended Treatment Unit at 825 Manitoba Ave. in Selkirk. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
