Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARGARET GERALDINE TRANN Peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer on July 13, 2001 at Dr. Evelyn Memorial Hospital in Stonewall, Margaret Geraldine Trann of Argyle, MB was reunited with her beloved husband George, who predeceased her in 1986 after 40 years of marriage. She was also predeceased by her parents, Craig and Myrtle Young; brothers-in-law, Melvin Mosher and Elmer Armstrong. She will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by her children, Sheila (George) Ritchie of Viking, AB and Wayne (Gayle) Trann of Edmonton, AB; grandchildren, Trevor (Sandra) Ritchie, Todd (Lauralee) Ritchie, Tannis (Dean) Zimmel, David, Keri-Lynne and Brian Trann; great-grandchildren, Taylor, Kyle, Brett, Kirsten and Raelynn. Her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were a source of tremendous pride and joy to her. Also survived by her brother Cyril (Kay) Young, of Musquodoboit Harbour, NS; sister Agatha Mosher, Upper Musquodoboit, NS; sisters-in-law, Bernice (Ernie) Sheard and Thelma Armstrong all of Crystal City, MB; her aunt Ruth (Reg) Scoates of Ottawa, ON; numerous nieces and nephews in Manitoba and Nova Scotia and a host of friends too numerous to mention. Marg was born in West Petpeswick, NS on April 6, 1921. She met George at a dance in Dartmouth, NS and dancing was something they enjoyed together throughout their married life. They married on June 2, 1945 and moved to Manitoba shortly after. They resided in Fallison, MB until 1952, with both Sheila and Wayne being born during those years. They moved to Argyle in June, 1952 where George managed the Federal Grain Elevator until its closure in 1971. During those years, Marg was busy raising their family, curling, attending Eastern Star and nurturing a budding business with Con Stan Industries. After Georges retirement, as a team, George and Marg developed a successful business winning many prestigious awards, including cars and exotic vacations. The Order of the Eastern Star was a big part of Mums life. She served as Grand Warden of the Grand Chapter of Manitoba and Worthy Matron of Aurora Chapter in Stonewall. She was a member of Argyle United Church and a faithful worker for the UCW. After Georges passing she continued to live in her home in Argyle enjoying her selling career, playing bridge and cards with friends, bowling and Old Time Dancing. The family is very grateful for the kindness and support given by the doctors, nurses and staff of Dr. Evelyn Memorial Hospital and HSC, ward GD4. The many visits from friends and family helped to brighten her days and lighten her load over the past few years. Special thank-you to Marlene and Ivan Miller for their love, kindness and support to Marg and her family during Mums last years. A service and celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday, July 17 at 2:00 p.m., MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, Stonewall. A private interment will be held. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations may be made in Mums memory to Dr. Evelyn Memorial Hospital or to the Canadian Cancer Society.
