LAJOS (LOUIS) HAKLAR Mr. Lajos Haklar passed away peacefully on Friday, July 13, 2001 at the age of 79 years. He was the beloved husband of Genne of Winnipeg; and dear father of Louis (Rhonda) of Winnipeg, Lawrence (Lois) Wazny of Calgary, AB, and Linda (Eraldo) Siciliano of Toronto, ON; and grandfather of seven grandchildren. He is survived by one sister in Hungary, one brother in Australia, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by five brothers and two sisters. He was born in Rabakethely, Hungary on June 15, 1922 and came to Canada in 1959 to Winnipeg. He was a carpenter by trade, retiring in 1983. Funeral liturgy will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 18 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anthonys Roman Catholic (Hungarian) Church, 365 Burnell St., Winnipeg, Rev. Fr. Paul Hancko presiding. Interment to follow. Friends may view prior to the service. The family would like to extend a sincere thank-you to the doctors, nurses and staff at the Victoria Hospital, Riverview Centre, and the St. Boniface Hospital for their excellent care and compassion.
