Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryFLORENCE ANNIE MORTON April 24, 1924 - July 15, 2001 Peacefully on Sunday, July 15, 2001, Flo Morton passed away at the Concordia Hospital at the age of 77 years. Flo was born in Bradford, England. There she met Charles Morton of Winnipeg and they were married on December 30, 1944. Flo immigrated to Canada to be with Charles in July of 1946 where they made their home in East Kildonan. Thirty-five years ago Flo met Harold Webb and they remained together as companions until her passing. Among her jobs, Flo worked 25 years for Wilson Auto Electric until her retirement in 1989. As a retirement gift from Wilson Auto Electric and staff, Flo was presented with a trip back to England to see her family for the first time since she left in 1946. Flo was a longtime member of the Prince Edward Legion Branch No. 81 where she was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary. Flo loved to knit. She spent many hours during the year getting scarves ready to take to the Salvation Army for the winter season. Flo was predeceased by her parents, Harold and Ethel Wilkinson; her brother Sam; son Jimmy; husband Charles; and son-in-law Mike Manders. She is survived by her longtime companion Harold Webb; daughter-in-law Charlotte Morton; daughters, Jackie (Ken) Highmoor, Brenda (Tom) Gibney. Six grandchildren, John and Ken Highmoor, Taura and Angie Manders, Michael and David Morton ; and great-granddaughter Taylor Morton. She is also survived by two brothers, Harold and Jack; and five sisters, Betty, Dorothy, Vera, Brenda and Sheila, all living in England. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 18 at 11:00 a.m. at the Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler Ave., Winnipeg, MB.
