PEARL ALICE MABEL SHACKLEFORD 1912 - 2001 It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Pearl at the Eastview Lodge, Neepawa, MB on Friday, July 13, 2001. She was predeceased by her mother Maud Ethel in 1969; her father Rupert George in 1975; and her brother James Rupert in 1999. Pearl is survived by sister Dorothy (George) Brown, Gladys (Cliff) Carrothers; and brother Dennis (Georgina) Shackleford; and numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends. Pearl was born in Helston, MB and lived in various places in Canada such as Toronto, Langruth, Muir, Shoal Lake, Elkhorn, Lavinia, Winnipeg, and Neepawa. Pearl was employed at Simpsons in Toronto, hairdressing in Elkhorn, switchboard operator in Hamiota, and at Fort Osborne Barracks in Winnipeg. Due to ill health, she returned to Neepawa in the sixties to look after her ailing father and mother. Pearl enjoyed cooking, sewing, and handicrafts. The family wish to thank the homecare givers while she resided at Kinsmen Kort, Neepawa and the staff of Eastview Lodge for their care and compassion. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church, 293 Mountain Ave., Neepawa, MB. In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of ones choice would be appreciated.
