JOHN SPAKOWSKI Born in Matlock, MB, January 11, 1920, John died peacefully in his sleep July 13, 2001 at the Red Lake Margaret Cochenour Memorial Hospital. John is survived by his loved ones, daughters, Betty-Jean and Darlyn; granddaughters, Leanne (Terry) and Tammy; great-grandchildren, Jasmine and Brady; brothers, Frank (Rita) and Bernie (pat) sisters, Helen, Stella, and Edith; as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Marguerite in 1994; brothers, Charles and Peter; and his sister Jean. John was a man of integrity with a quick wit and special place in his heart and life for children. He loved his community (Cochenour), his home, and his yard. Thanks for all the memories. You are gone, never to be forgotten. You are welcome to celebrate Johns life at a memorial service in the Cochenour United Church on Wednesday, July 18 at 2:00 p.m. followed by a Veterans service to be conducted by the Red Lake Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion. Interment of ashes will follow in the Woodland Cemetery in Balmerton. Should friends desire, donations to the Margaret Cochenour Memorial Hospital or the Childrens Wish Foundation may be made through the Stevens Funeral Homes "Red Lake Chapel", P.O.
