Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEDITH MARGARET DAVIES Mother passed away on July 12, 2001, surrounded by her loving family. Edith is survived by Susan (Jim) and sons, Jamie, Shane, and Ryan; Michael (Betty) and children, Kirsten, Christopher, and Connor; Anne (Al) and children, Christine (Ben), Kyle, Shane, and Christopher; Stephen (Lori) and children, Sarah, Kellie, Scott; Geoffrey (Marilyn) and children, Jason and Kali; Andrew (Patricia) and children, Roger and Roxanne; nephew Len Horn (Shirley) and her niece Sheila; and special friends Barbara, Joycelyn, Merrill, Marlene, and Reyhelde. Mom was born in Winnipeg on July 16, 1929, and spent part of her childhood in Scotland. She returned to Canada for the remainder of her life. Edith was a dedicated volunteer for St. Georges Anglican Church, Heritage Victoria Community Club, and M.S.O.S. Edith also spent countless hours canvassing on behalf of the Manitoba Cancer Society, Manitoba Heart and Stroke Foundation, and the Diabetes Society. Mom worked for Price Wilson for 18 years until her retirement in 1993. Moms first love was her family. She also spent many enjoyable hours with friends, her Saturday morning breakfast group, her luncheon group, and two bridge clubs. Time was also spent with friends and acquaintances from the St. James Seniors Association. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ediths name may be made to the Manitoba Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 2B7 or the Manitoba Society of Seniors, 1700 - 330 Portage Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3B 2B4. Interment will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 17 at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4000 Portage Ave. A memorial service will follow at 3:00 p.m. at St. Chads Anglican Church, 3390 Portage Ave. Arrangements entrusted to: CHAPEL LAWN FUNERAL HOME CEMETERY AND CREMATORIUM 885-9715
