Magdalyna leaves to cherish her memory daughter Stephanie Bilyj; granddaughters, Diane Bilyj and Adrienne Nicholson; great-grandson Michael Bilyj; nieces, Stephanie Degrave, Natalie Lacombe, and Mary Polanski and nephew Michael Antoshkiw. She was predeceased by her daughter Mary (1924) her husband Harry (1972) sister Kalyna Dowbenko of Winnipeg, and sisters, Mary, Anna, and brother John of Ukraine. Our Baba was proud of and true to her Ukrainian Catholic heritage. She was a pioneer of Blessed Virgin Mary Church, an avid reader of Ukrainian folklore and she enriched her family with countless stories, humour and songs of her youth. She will forever be remembered for her commitment to attending Divine Liturgy, daily prayers, and her warm hospitality. Magdalyna was a blessing to her family. Donations in her memory may be given to Blessed Virgin Mary parish or a charity of ones choice. Flowers are gratefully declined. Sincerest appreciation goes out to all concerned caregivers and nursing staff at St. Josephs Residence who were a great comfort and help to Magdalyna and her family.
