ANNE ORSULAK (nee ROMAS) Following a brief illness, Anne Orsulak passed away on July 15, 2001. Anne was predeceased by her husband William (Bill) in September 1998. Anne leaves to mourn her passing her son Robert (Kathy) of West St. Paul; daughters, Carleen MacKay (Jim) of Winnipeg, Valorie Topham (Allan) of Thompson; and son Terry of West St. Paul. Also mourning her passing are her grandchildren, Kimberly Dufaj (John), Laura MacKay, Cali, Tricia and Wesley Orsulak; sister Julia (Lil) Bauch (Karl) of Kelowna; and brothers, William Romas of Winnipeg, Gary Orsulak (Beth) of Winnipeg, and Richard Orsulak (Linda) of West St. Paul. Anne was born on March 18, 1921 in the RM of Springfield. After leaving home, Anne worked in Winnipeg and later in Kenora. Following her marriage in 1944, she settled on a farm with her husband in West St. Paul and continued to reside there until her recent illness. Anne was a warm, caring and compassionate person, who was devoted to her family. A wonderful cook, Anne always ensured family and friends were well fed whenever they visited. Anne loved the outdoors, and often she would be seen tending to her vegetable and flower gardens during the summer. In the winter, she enjoyed knitting and sewing. Anne had a kind heart, and touched many people. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 19 at 2:00 p.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St. Pallbearers will be Wesley Orsulak, James Orsulak, Brad Shalley, Russell Staines, Jim MacKay, and Allan Topham. Officiating will be Tom Didur, with interment and reception to follow. The family wishes to thank the nurses at the Health Sciences Centre and St. Boniface Palliative Care for the care and kindness given our mother. Flowers are gratefully declined.
