VLASTA (PAT) ANNA SAMETZ On Sunday, July 15, 2001, Pat Sametz (Kubik) passed away in her home at Pioneer Village at the age of 77 years. Born May 5, 1924 in Kostice, Czechoslovakia, Pat came to Canada and settled with her family near Lethbridge, AB in 1927. Pat married Fred Sametz in 1946 and they moved to Winnipeg. In 1959 they relocated to Regina where they raised their two children. Pat was a devoted mother and grandmother who cherished the time she spent with her family. Her zest for life will be remembered by all who knew her. She was predeceased by her husband Fred; grandson Carter Rorbeck; brother Frank Kubik; sister-in-law Jean Sametz; and brother-in-law Albert Wolfe. She is survived by her children, Daryl (Carla) Sametz and Darlene (Barry) Rorbeck; grandchildren, Lisa and Bryan Sametz, Taylor and Paige Rorbeck. She is also survived by a very special sister-in-law and friend Mary Wolfe of Winnipeg; brother Miles Kubik; and numerous other brother and sisters-in-law and their families. Cremation has been arranged. In keeping with Pats request, no funeral service will be held. The family extends sincere appreciation to the staff of 3 West and 4 West at Pioneer Village for their compassion and care. Arrangements are in the care of LEE FUNERAL HOME 757-8645
