Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARGARET ALICE SIMMONS (GUIBOCHE) Peacefully, on Monday, July 16, 2001, Margaret Simmons, age 90 years, passed away at St. Adolphe Nursing Home. Margaret will be sadly missed by her children, Robert (Claudia), Lawrence (Rose), Anna (Oliver) Parisian, Joyce, Arthur (Patricia), and Marie (John) Badz; 17 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren; sister Nellie Bernshine and brother Thomas Gildert and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband Alexander Guiboche and her second husband Jack Simmons, her parents, sister Elsie and brother Bill. Mom was a very hard worker, who raised six children by herself after Alexander passed away. She was employed by Eatons for 25 years and then moved to Alberta, where she was employed at Jasper Park Lodge and also in Edmonton at the Riviera Motor Hotel. Upon her retirement she moved back to Winnipeg. We will all be thankful for the strength she possessed and passed on to her children. The family would like to thank the staff of the St. Adolphe Nursing Home for the excellent care and compassion she received during her stay. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, July 19 at 12:30 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. with visitation starting at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Elmwood Cemetery. Pallbearers will be six of her grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Margarets memory to St. Adolphe Nursing Home or Alzheimers Society of Manitoba.
