Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySTEVE TKACHYK Suddenly on Monday, July 16, 2001 at his residence, Steve Tkachyk of Culross passed away peacefully at the age of 69 years. Steve was born November 1, 1931 in Winnipeg. He grew up in Dufrost and later moved to Mill Creek with his family. From there the family bought their homestead north of Culross. He was employed as a construction worker, then worked for an International dealership. Steve married Pat (Patricia) Stangl on May 28, 1960 and eventually made their home on the homestead at Culross where he pursued his love of farming with his sons at his side until his passing. Steve will be greatly missed by his loving wife Pat of 41 years; five children: daughter Monica and husband Allen Wiebe, and their children David, Julie, Madelyn, and Michael; son Jeffry Tkachyk and his children Richard, Graham, and Tessa; son Stephen Tkachyk and wife Sara and their children Mikhayla, Brody, Noah, Dylan, and Liam; son Michael Tkachyk and wife Pam and their children Jordyn, Nicholas, Tyler; daughter Jennifer and her special friend Frank. He will also be missed by his brothers, Anton Tkachyk and wife Mary, Roman Tkachyk, Matthew Tkachyk and wife Doris, twin brother Walter Tkachyk and wife Helen; sister Martha Sontag and husband Adam; brothers-in-law, Sonny Stangl and wife Marion and Greg Stangl and wife Marilyn; sisters-in-law, Lou and husband Andy Gaskin, Sue Wight, Beulah and husband Clifford Morison, Shirley and husband Bob Nolan, Therese and husband Ed Reinsch, Geraldine and husband Rich Gomola, Barbara and husband Rene Alarie. Plus nieces and nephews too numerous to mention. Steve was predeceased by his father Nick Tkachyk in 1972; his mother Magdalena in 1964; brother-in-law Bob Wight; sister-in-law Nelda Tkachyk; niece Ann Stangl; father-in-law Ed Stangl. His wife will dearly remember his special grin. His grandchildren will always feel the closeness they had with their Grandpa and will miss the special times they had with him. He loved to fish with his wife and friends. Dads life focus was to keep his family happy and close to his side. We will always remember him for his kind and gentle nature and will treasure our own special memories. Funeral mass will be said from Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Fannystelle, MB Friday July 20 at 10:00 a.m. with Fr. Armand LeGal officiating. Interment will take place in the Elm Creek Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Farmers with Disabilities: R.R. #2, Elm Creek, MB R0G 0NO. Doyles Funeral Chapel of Carman in care of arrangements.
