J.D. LEO LOISELLE March 13, 1908 - July 19, 2001 Peacefully on July 19, 2001, Leo Loiselle passed away at the age of 93 years at the Foyer Valade where he had been a resident for the last 18 months. Leo was born in Letellier, MB and lived most of his life in Winnipeg. Leo was predeceased by his beloved wife Alice (Genest) his parents, David and Diana (Dumontier) Loiselle; his brother Paul-Emile Loiselle; and sister Cecile Loiselle. He is survived and sadly missed by his brothers, Alphonse (Yvonne) and Aime (Laurette) his sisters, Ida Sylvestre, Lea Mollish (Jack) and Stella Klassen; his close friend Irene Michon; and many nieces and nephews. Leo worked most of his life as a partner with Loiselle Transport. He had many interests especially working with his hands in metal and leather creations. He also spent many years with the Fils Natifs. Leo and Alice looked after Fernand and Lucienne Genest (brother and sister of Alice) for many years. The Loiselle family would like to extend a sincere thank you to all the staff at the Foyer Valade for their compassionate, excellent care. Funeral mass is to be held at the St. Boniface Cathedral, 190 Cathedral St., St. Boniface on Monday, July 23 at 10:00 a.m. with Msgr. Frechette officiating. Viewing prior to the service. Burial to follow at Green Acres Cemetery, Hwy. No. 1 East. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Foyer Valade, 450 River Rd., Winnipeg, MB R2M 5M4.
