NORAH EDNA QUINTON (nee COULTER) Norah Quinton died peacefully at the Victoria General Hospital, July 19, 2001. Beloved wife of Arnold, with whom Norah shared 63 years, Norah was a cherished mother, grandmother and friend. Survived by husband Arnold; daughter Gail (Arnold predeceased), grandsons, Kenneth, Michael, Steven; son David Gary (Judy), granddaughters, Carolyn, Jill; daughter Bonnie (Alan), granddaughters Tara (Tim), Audrey (Marc), and great-granddaughter Sydney; son Richard (Betty), grandchildren, Tom and Sara. Norah was predeceased by her sisters, Charlotte "Lily" and Kathleen; and her brothers, Dick, George, David Beatty, Allen "Tommy," and nephew Jim. She was born to Richard and Doria Coulter in Clair, SK, on January 15, 1911. Norah first worked at Eatons and remained a devoted Eatonian; she was later employed at the Department of Transport. Always energetic, Norah was a member of the Eastern Star, and was a Past Worthy Matron, Jubilee Chapter 27 OF.S. As a Christian, Norahs great strengths were rooted in her spiritual beliefs. When people think of Norah they recall her smile, her twinkling eyes, and the strength of her grip. Family was the light of her life; Norah loved to celebrate family events, often the last to leave. No visit with family or friends was complete without a cup of tea. The family would like to express its appreciation for the care afforded by the staff of four north, Victoria General Hospital, and Dr. Angus McGowan especially. The memorial service at St. Bartholomews Anglican Church, 881 Autumnwood Dr., on Tuesday, July 24, at 1:00, will be officiated by Canon Doug Gregory. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 301-352 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3B 2H8 or the charity of your choice would be appreciated. NEIL BARDAL INC. 949-2200
