MARIA ANDERSON May 30, 1914 - July 18, 2001 Peacefully on July 18, 2001 at the Fisher River Personal Care Home, our mother, sister and grandmother, Maria Anderson passed away at the age of 87 years. Maria leaves to cherish her memory, her son Cecil (Grace) Anderson; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brother Willie (Elsie) Marsden; sisters, Flora Traverse and Maggie Ross; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Maria was predeceased by her husband Darby Anderson on August 17, 1987; parents, David and Mary Marsden; granddaughter Tracy Richard in 1987; nephews, Russell Marsden, Glen Traverse, and George Traverse; a son in infancy; and her brother John Marsden. Maria was a fun and loving person who loved joking around with people. She enjoyed bead work, sewing, and cooking. Maria was seen in a dream shortly before she passed away singing the song, "Sounds like home to me". A wake service will be held on Friday, July 20 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 21 at 2:00 p.m. Both services will be held at the Lake St. Martin Pentecostal Church, with Alex Marsden officiating. Interment to follow at the Lake St. Martin Cemetery. Pallbearers will be nephews Samuel Marsden Jr., Wilfred Ross, Wilfred Marsden, Jonah Ross, Anthony Marsden, and grandson Cecil Richard.
