WESLEY ROSGER For over 51 years, Wes Rosger lived life with a zest and passion rarely ever seen. Facing more challenges than most, he continually looked for new and different ways to experience life. He was an incredible athlete, winning multiple awards in both baseball and hockey. He had the same zeal for golf and often won bragging rights from his friends. He quietly adored his family. His pride and joy was teasing and teaching his nieces and nephews about life, since he himself was a child at heart. He earned the respect of doctors and nurses for over 30 years. He pushed them to look beyond the obvious and to search out different ways of solving problems. Even though he was a very private man, he accumulated a vast number of friends. Some of these friendships date back 45 years, some as recently as 2 months. When you are as special as Wes, you have the honour of attracting people with the same qualities. His father, Cecil Rosger literally gave of himself to Wes when he donated a kidney in 1973. Words are not enough to express this ultimate act of giving. His friend, Erin Hanna, was his partner for 9 years in the 80s. He appreciated her dedication greatly. No man impacted his life more than his friend Dr. Brian Penner. His continual respect and devotion to Wes knew no bounds and for that he was ever thankful. Forever remembering Wes are his wife, Janet Bayer; his Mother and Father, Joan and Cecil Rosger; brothers, Bryon (Dianne) and Keith (Cindy) sisters, Jean (Norman), Linda (Carl), Lorraine (Wayne), and Gail (Fred) his mother and father-in-law, Richard and Bernice Bayer and brother and sister-in-law, Gerald and Jocelyne. Friends and family are invited to the Army and Navy, 3584 Portage Ave. on Tuesday, July 24 at 7:30 p.m. for a celebration of Wess life. Wes requested that no suits or ties be worn. It was also his request that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Kidney Foundation, 200-55 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB, R3C 1L8, in his name. Wes was my husband, partner, confidant and best friend for many years and I will miss him dearly. "Always remembered, never forgotten."
