ALICE ELEANOR FIDLER (nee DUCHARME) On Saturday, July 21, 2001, Alice peacefully passed away at the Selkirk General and District Hospital. Alice will be sadly missed by her beloved husband Jim; children, Lynn (Jim) Munn of Summerland, BC, Wayne Fidler of Selkirk, Elaine (John) Heinze of Kamloops, BC, Donna (fiancee David Ross) of Winnipeg and Trevor Fidler of Orleans, ON; grandchildren, Devon (Darcy) Cooper of Prince George, BC, Christopher (Dian) of Pritchard, BC, Matthew and Graham Fidler of Orleans, ON; great-grandchildren, Branden and Aaron Heinze, Joshua and Lauryn Alice Cooper; sister Donna (Steve) Monchak of Winnipeg; brother Louis (Audrey) Ducharme of Seattle, WA; brothers-in-law, Lloyd (Dorothy) Fidler of Selkirk, Walter Fidler; sister-in-law Elsie (Jeff) Cunningham of Rice Lake, WI; along with several nieces, nephews and friends. Alice was born in Stockton, MB on January 6, 1921. She was a wonderful wife to Jim and a great mother to her children. Alice worked at Eatons prior to her marriage to Jim. After her marriage Alice enjoyed and loved raising her family, playing bingo and family gatherings. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 24 at 7:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk, MB and a memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 25 at 2:00 p.m. in the Christ Church, Selkirk, with Rev. Canon Godfrey Mawejje officiating. Interment will follow the service in the St. Clements Cemetery. Flowers are gratefully declined, donations may be made in Alices memory to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 102-310 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB R3C 0S6.
