Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryFREDA HOHENSTEIN (nee ODDFRIDUR LILJA HALLDORSON) January 11, 1921 - July 22, 2001 On Sunday, July 22, 2001, Freda Hohenstein passed away at the Riverview Health Centre. Freda will be lovingly remembered by husband Sonny; daughters, Doreen Bilodeau and Carolin Burke (Ken) grandchildren, Jared and Jayne; sisters, Hatha, Rickie (Jack) and Gina; sister-in-law Gail; brother-in-law Jack; as well as many nieces and nephews. Freda was predeceased by her parents, Lilja and Jon Halldorson; sisters, Stephanie, Kristin, and Dora; and brothers, Fred and Johnny. Family was the most important thing in her life. Fredas door was always open, showing her giving nature. She was known for her sense of humour and wit. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 25 at 12:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. A gathering of family and friends will follow in the Chapel Lawn Reception Centre. Private interment service will take place at a later date. Special thanks to Riverview Health Centre, especially to Maureen, Marlene, Kathy, Mona, Vicki, Sally, Crystal, Carmen, and Lito; also, to the Health Care Aids and Service Partners, Veronica, Jessica, Ruth, Renada, Ed, Don, and Mani, not only for the care of our mother, but for the compassion to us as well. Donations in Fredas memory may be made to the Riverview Health Care Centre, CD 1 Recreation, 1 Morley Ave., Winnipeg MB R3L 9Z9.
