She is also survived by a sister, Myrtle; special niece Mickey of Calgary, AB; and brother Ken of Dryden, ON. She was predeceased by her husband Frank; brother Bernard; and daughter-in-law May. Born in Crookston, MN her family moved to Saskatchewan where she was raised, then met and married Frank. They moved to Winnipeg in 1939. She was a devoted mother who enjoyed her family. She was a loving, caring woman with a lively sense of humour. To know her was to like her. She loved craft-work, particularly knitting and most of the family have beautiful knitted garments, which are still in active use today. She and her husband travelled fairly extensively and she also enjoyed her winters in Florida, where many friends were made. Memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 26 at the Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Interment will follow in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. A gathering of family and friends will be held in the Chapel Lawn Reception Centre. The family wishes to thank the staff of Concordia Hospital for their care and help. In lieu of flowers, donations in Lylenes memory may be made to a charity of choice. Arrangements entrusted to: CHAPEL LAWN FUNERAL HOME CEMETERY AND CREMATORIUM 885-9715
