ADEY (nee LOISELLE) April 20, 1924 - July 26, 2001 Peacefully, on July 26, 2001, after a lengthy illness, Leonie Adey passed away at her residence, the Foyer Valade on River Road in St. Vital. Left to mourn her passing, are her children, Donna, Val, Gwen, Linda, Robert, and Michelle; and her eight grandchildren, Karen, Sandra, Kim, Michael, Ava, Bryce, Robin-Lee, Andrea; and her great-grandchild Ashley. She also leaves her loving brothers and sisters. Leonie was born in Dumas, SK. She was a nurse in the Second World War. After the war, she married Gordon Adey and became a stay-at-home mother. The family would like to thank all the staff at the Foyer Valade for all the loving care they provided over the years. Funeral services will be held at the Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church, 252 Dubuc St. in St. Boniface on Tuesday, July 31. Viewing will begin at 10:00 a.m. Fr. Lionel Dumont, assisted by Deacon Ted Wood, will celebrate the funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Following the reception in the church hall, interment will take place in the Field of Honour of the St. Boniface Cemetery, Archibald Street.
