Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPAUL THOMAS LEMIRE Our precious Paul passed away accidentally in his 18th year on July 23, 2001 while working with his dad and brother in Vermillion Bay, ON. Paul will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his parents, Marcel and Janet; his brother Jean; his sister Denise and brother-in-law Danick Parent; his grandparents, Phyllis Pearce and Hank and Evelyn Redbourn; his aunts, uncles and cousins and his many, many friends. Paul had just completed Senior 3 at the Lord Selkirk Comprehensive High School. He was an avid athlete who enjoyed a wide variety of sports, including soccer, hockey, rugby, football, volleyball, boxing, track and most recently scuba diving. Pauls love of sports and athletic abilities was evident in the many awards he received in all sports. One of Pauls proudest achievements was when he was playing with the East Selkirk Sabres Bantam hockey team and they won the City Championship. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 27 at 1:00 p.m. in the Good Shepherd Church, just south of the Rolling Mills on Main Street, Selkirk, with Rev. Lynn Stevens officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Jason Vitt, Mike Stevenson, Kerry Laing, David Yates, Brian Foyle, John Wasyluk, Derek Kuczek and Kyle Wilkinson as well as all other teammates of his soccer, hockey and rugby teams. His active pallbearers will be Chris Lochavio, Tyler Keats, Kevin Mead, Brad Ostertag, Greg Amborsky and Nick Alleyne. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Lord Selkirk School Division Scholarship Foundation, 221 Mercy St., Selkirk, MB R1A 2C8 where a scholarship will be set up in honour of Paul and given out annually.
