SHIRLEY IRENE WRIXON It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our Mom, Shirley Irene Wrixon, on July 21, 2001 after a courageous battle with cancer. Shirley was predeceased by her husband Harvey on March 28, 2000. She will be dearly missed by her sons, Glenn (Joan) of Winnipeg and Dale (Donna) of Lasalle, MB; her daughter Shelley of Calgary; and her grandchildren, Michael, Chad, Tyler, Ashley, Jason and Morgan. She will also be lovingly remembered by her brother and sister-in-law, Gerald and Shirley Hallick of Rosser, MB. Shirley touched the lives of all she met. She will be fondly remembered for her strength of character, patient nature, love of laughter and her courage. She was born in Winnipeg on September 1, 1932 and grew up in Starbuck, MB. She married her husband Harvey, raised her family and continued to reside in Starbuck until her recent illness. Funeral service will be held at the Starbuck United Church on Friday, July 27 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Peter Mitchell officiating. Interment will be in the family plot in the Starbuck Cemetery. Special thanks to Dr. Mike Libin and the Home Care Nurses in Calgary for the excellent care and support provided. In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made in Shirleys name to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St. Winnipeg, MB. R3C 2B7. Doyles Funeral Chapel of Carman in care of arrangements.
