WILLIAM JOHN (JACK) McFAREN With saddened hearts the family wishes to announce the peaceful passing of our dear father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Jack, at the age of 79, on Tuesday, July 24, 2001. Jack was born on March 3, 1922 in Decker, MB. He married Marjorie Alice Kirk in 1944. Dad served his country during the Second World War, overseas, in the RCAF. Dad worked at Federated Co-op for many years, until retirement. Dad and Mom had two children. They enjoyed a great many years square dancing and round dancing, making many friends. Dad was predeceased by his loving wife and friend Marjorie in 1990, and his sister Helen Cote. Dad leaves to cherish his family, sisters, Margaret Smith and Chad Crossley and brother-in-law Keith Kirk; son Dennis and wife Shirley; daughter Pamela and husband Fred; grandchildren, Shaun and wife Nicole and Tara and boyfriend Trevor; great-grandson Colin; and many nieces and nephews. Also left to grieve, good friends, Velma and Olive Smith, and John and Karen Shust and family. The family wishes to thank the ICU nurses, Ruth and Marg, at the Grace General Hospital and the staff and friends at the Metropolitan Kiwanis Courts, 2300 Ness Ave. At Dads request cremation has taken place at the Glen Lawn Funeral Home with no memorial service. There is a special place in our hearts that belongs only to our gentle father. He was our protector, our guide and our strength. Dad, we love you. If friends so desire, donations in Jacks memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba (949-2000), 204-352 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB, R3B 2H8. Arrangements entrusted to: GLEN LAWN FUNERAL HOME 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. 982-7550
