ROSALIA "ROSE" HANKS (nee BILINSKI) Peacefully on Thursday, July 26, 2001 at Seven Oaks General Hospital, Rose Hanks passed away at the age of 88 years. She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter Barbara (Martin) Gunn, daughter-in-law Frances Hanks; grandchildren, Debbie Gunn, Cheryl (Dave) Daily, Kim (Bob) Desrosiers, Steven Hanks; three great-grandchildren; and one sister Julie (John) Fisher. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Stanley, her parents, two sisters, and her son Ted. Rose was born May 22, 1913 in Manitoba and lived the majority of her life in Winnipeg. Losing her mother at an early age, Rose became both mother and sister to her younger siblings. She met Stanley and they were married on July 1, 1933, enjoying 45 years together before his passing in 1978. She enjoyed working with her hands doing petit point, crocheting or cooking and the happiest times for Rose were spent with her family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Holy Family Nursing Home, 165 Aberdeen Ave., Winnipeg, MB R2W 1T9. Funeral service will be held on Monday, July 30 at 11:30 a.m. in the chapel of Glen Eden Funeral Home. Interment in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. A gathering of family and friends will follow in the Glen Eden Reception Centre. Rest in peace. We will miss you now and always.
