BETTY SPROULE On July 25, 2001 Betty Sproule, aged 81, passed away quietly and peacefully at the Deer Lodge Centre, with close family at her bedside. She was a loving, giving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend who will be greatly missed. Betty was predeceased by her eldest son Ron Jr. Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband Ron Sr.; children, Elizabeth Roberts (Cliff), Beverly Fung (Pat), Douglas (Kathy), Robert (Diane), Sharon Heagy (Dallas) daughter-in-law Barbara Davis; 11 grandchildren; a great-grandson; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Bettys life revolved around her family with whom she spent many happy hours at the family cottage at Betula Lake. Christmas, birthdays and family occasions were special times. An annual highlight for Betty and Ron was their vacation in Maui, usually with close friends or relatives. Betty was a past president and life member of Deer Lodge Curling Club. She was active through the years in the womens auxiliary of Deer Lodge United Church and enjoyed knitting for her grandchildren, for cancer victims and veterans. Bettys bright life was full, with music and dance, family and friends. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 30, at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. The family would like to offer a thank you to the staff at the Grace General Hospital and a special thanks to the staff at the Deer Lodge Centre.
