PETER HERBERT FUDGE On July 24, 2001 after a courageous battle with cancer, Peter passed away peacefully at Riverview Health Centre. He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife of 50 years Sheila; sons, Robert (Joy) and Barry; grandchildren, Iain, Thomas and Erin; sisters, Joyce and Joan (Alan) and numerous relatives and friends in England and Canada. He was predeceased by his mother Lillian and father Herbert. Peter was born, raised and educated in Bristol, England. After obtaining his Engineering degree he moved with his wife and family to Canada in 1955. He worked for Shawinigan Eng. Co. and later Lavelin Corp. of Montreal, retiring in 1993. Peters work allowed he and Sheila to pursue their love of travel, and they saw much of the globe. They returned to Canada in 1989, settling on Vancouver Island. He and Sheila returned to Winnipeg in 2000 to be close to family. He fondly referred to Manitoba as "the land of the endless sky". Peters pioneering spirit, sense of humour, love of family and of life were an inspiration and will be remembered fondly. A private service will be held and cremation has taken place.
