LOUIS SLUTCHUK It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Louis Slutchuk, at the age of 87, on July 27, 2001. He was predeceased by his wife Fay in 1984; and by his sister Esther Muravnick; and brothers-in-law, Harry Goltzman, Frank Craven and Sholom Solomon. He is survived by his daughters, Roberta and son-in-law Larry Hurtig, daughter Nancy and son-in-law Barry Corey; grandchildren, Bradley Hurtig, Jack and wife Lori Hurtig, Renee and husband Ari Zaionz, Leslie and Janis Corey, and great-grandson Noah Zaionz; sisters, Rose Goltzman, Marion Solomon, Lorraine Bass and Lil Slutchuk; sisters and brothers-in-law, Roslyn and Meyer Silver, Sandra and Harvey Weisman and Max Muravnick. Louis worked for Perths for over 50 years. He was deeply committed to Judaism, Israel and his family. Our sincere thanks to his very special caregivers, Imelda Domingo and Emy Deguzman. Funeral services were held on July 29, 2001 at the Chesed Shel Emes, with interment at the Shaarey Zedek Cemetery. Pallbearers were Barry Corey, Jack Hurtig, Jack Craven, Mati Gamliel, Tiram Gamliel and Steven Hyman. Honorary Pallbearer was Larry Hurtig.
