Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOSEPH WUZIUK Following a lengthy illness Joseph Wuziuk died on Friday, July 27, 2001 at Health Science Centre at the age of 82 years. Joseph will be lovingly remembered by his wife Janet of 43 years, son Frank (Bev) Sobkowich; daughters, Pat (Ed) Solonyka, Jo-Anne Wuziuk, (Dianne Matt), Connie (Dale) Dotten. Also survived by brother Walter and sister Frances Zasadny, daughter-in-law Barb Sobkowich, 5 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by son Stephen Sobkowich, parents, Alexandra and Adam Wuziuk, sister Eugenia (Ben) Rogowski, Mary (Ted) Kotowicz. Joseph was born on September 12, 1918 in Zbaraz, MB. He was in the army, worked in bush camps, mines, and drove taxi in Pine Falls. He married Janet Sobkowich in 1958 and farmed for a short while. He worked in construction and they moved to Winnipeg in 1964. He worked at Shore Glass, Champs Foods, Versatile and Motor Coach Industries. Joseph retired early, due to illness. In keeping with Josephs wishes, cremation has taken place. A private graveside service will be held at a later date in Waverley Memorial Gardens, 1501 Waverley St. In lieu of flowers, donations in Josephs memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St. Wpg.
