Date of Passing: Jul 22, 2001
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROLAND EDWARD OLSON Peacefully on July 22, 2001 with his family at his side, Rolands struggle with MS ended. Roland is survived by his loving family, wife Helen, daughters Pennie (Brett) and Patty (Randy) and grandchildren, Marlee, Heather and Keenan. Roland is also survived by his faithful friend and brother-in-law Bob Davies (Vivian), as well as numerous other friends and relatives. Well all miss his sense of humour, honesty and outspokenness. Roland loved his radio for the music and news it provided him. He always had something interesting to talk about. In earlier years Roland was a very creative woodworker, making everything from clocks to houses. He gave away many of his creations and we have those to cherish and remember him by. The family would like to thank the staff at Tache Centre for their love and care of Roland for many years, and a special thanks to the staff at the Grace Hospital for their care and compassion in his last days. Cremation has taken place and at Rolands request there will be no service. Donations may be made in Rolands memory to the MS Society, Tache Centre or the Grace Hospital. "We love you Dad"
