JAMES DODDS James Dodds passed away at the Grace Hospital in Winnipeg on July 27, 2001, at the age of 65 years. Jim was predeceased by his parents, Wilfred and Hazel Dodds (nee Dixon). Jim is survived by his sister Beverley Dodds of Winnipeg; niece Jennifer (Chris Walter) great-nephew Franklin James Dodds of Vancouver; cousins Ronald (Sharan) Lyon and Marilyn Lyon; as well as numerous other cousins. Jim attended Earl Grey and Linwood Schools. He was employed for over 27 years by the Canadian Armed Forces at RCAF Headquarters and Army Supply Offices and then projectionist at the RCAF Air Navigation School. He ran the canteen at the RCAF Drama Club and acted in one of their plays. Later, he was a member of the East Kildonan Lions Club. Jim loved music, movies, and T.V. He enjoyed dining at Papa Georges Restaurant and chatting with the staff. He lived on Roslyn Road for many years before moving to the Westhaven Seniors Apartments where he lived for two and one-half years until his last battle with cancer. Jim was a warm, generous person with a quick wit. Cremation has taken place. A family memorial will be held at a later date.
