ELEANOR CATHERINE ZIPP On Friday, July 27, 2001, after a long struggle with alzheimers, Eleanor Zipp (nee Sloan) passed away peacefully at Central Park Lodge at the age of 83 years. She is survived by her husband Otto; son Richard; grandson Kyle; sisters, Eileen Roy of Winnipeg, Noreen Fleming of Salmon Arm, BC, Pat Andre of Winnipeg, and brother Albert Sloan of Denver, CO; as well as many nieces and nephews. Eleanor was born in St. Boniface and attended St. Joseph Academy. Eleanor was employed by the CNR, Imperial Oil and the Winnipeg Foundation. Special thanks to the Winnipeg Foundation for their kindness throughout the years. Thanks to the staff on 6 at C.P.L. for their loving care, especially Judy, Margaret and Irene. Cremation has taken place. A private family service will take place at 10:30 a.m., on Wednesday, August 1, at Neil Bardal Inc., 984 Portage Ave., Aubrey Street entrance, with interment to follow at Elmwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 10-120 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3C 4G2. God saw you getting tired When a cure was not to be, So he closed his arms around you And whispered, "Come with me." You didnt deserve what you went through So he took you home to rest.
