STEWART ROSWELL CONQUERGOOD On July 28, 2001 at the Health Sciences Centre, Ross Conquergood, passed away at the age of 83 years. Ross was born in Winnipeg on March 16, 1918. He was raised and farmed in Lilyfield, Municipality of Rosser. Ross found joy in his life as a farmer, in his family and his many friends and in the acquaintances he met while attending auction sales throughout the countryside. He is survived by his sisters, Wilhelmina Smee (Bill), Murdena Kerr, Jean Patterson and Shirley White (Walter) and numerous devoted nieces and nephews. Ross was predeceased by his parents, Murdoch and Frances; sister Flora Elizabeth Green and her husband Harold; infant brother Thomas Matheson Conquergood; and brothers-in-law, Tom Patterson and Walter Kerr. Ross spent two happy years as a resident at Amber Meadows Seniors Residence. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 2, at 2:00 p.m. in the Thomson Funeral Chapels, 669 Broadway, with The Rev. Dr. Sharon Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in the Lilyfield Cemetery. Friends may call at the chapels on Wednesday from 7:00 until 8:00 p.m. Honorary pallbearers will be John and Art Morrison, Les Wedge, Rene Monchalin and Bill Riggall. Active bearers will be Ross, Richard and Rodger Patterson, Bill Coggan, Dave Byington and Roger Matas. Piper will be Douglas Smee.
