WANDA MARIE STOJAK Mrs. Wanda Marie Stojak (nee Kowbel) passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 29, 2001 at Central Park Lodge Nursing Home. Wanda was born on July 20, 1912 in Arborg, MB and recently celebrated her 89th birthday. In 1933, she married her dearly beloved John and made her home for most of her life in East Kildonan. She and John spent many happy moments travelling across Canada visiting friends and relatives. They enjoyed fishing in the Winnipeg area and tending to their garden. Wanda is survived by her sister Helen (Peter) Lyzun of Oshawa, ON; and her brother William of Vancouver, BC; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband John in 1978; parents, Stanley and Katherine Kowbel; brother Julius and other family members through marriage. A celebration of Wandas life will be held on Thursday, August 2, at 1:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Visitation for friends will be from 12:00 p.m. until service time. Interment will take place at Elmwood Cemetery with reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
