BENITO DIONISIO CASAS, SR. Peacefully at his residence on Tuesday, July 31, 2001, Mr. Benito Dionisio, Sr., dearly beloved husband of Mrs. Leonila Casas, passed away. Born March 18, 1928 in Wawa, Taguig, Metro Manila. He is survived by his wife of 54 years Leonila Gregorio; children and grandchildren in Winnipeg, Tessie and Rod (Moses, Jeremy, Nicole, Erroll) Layco, Felix, Jhun and Nora (Ashley and Aron), and Cherry. He is also survived by his children and grandchildren in the Philippines, Oscar and Nancy (Claire, Rosalie, Che), Roland and Neda (Irene, Hajji, Jon-Jon), Roy and Dedeth (Rodel, Jing, Christy, Boy), Roger and Aning (Baby, Bim, Ronie), Rey (John, Ganda), and Rose and Rene Estacio (RR, Iwi, Zedrik). He is also survived by his brothers, Emong, Belen (Winnipeg), Martin; and only sister Tuning, all of the Philippines; and goddaughter Rose (Frank) Vidovic of Winnipeg. We the family wish to thank the Riverview Palliative Care; home caregivers, Tessie, Precy, and Febie; nurses, Celine and Mary; Dr. Nguyen; Fr. Comeault; members of the Couples for Christ; Peter and Knysh staff; and to all those who had visited and prayed for him and numerous friends and relatives (in the Philippines and in Winnipeg). Lamay will be held on Wednesday, August 1 and Thursday, August 2 between 6:00 p.m. and 12:00 a.m. (midnight), (prayers at 9:00 p.m., Thursday, August 2), at Knysh Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main St. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, August 3 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Edwards Roman Catholic Church, 818 Arlington St., Rev.
