IDA BLYTH It is with great sadness the family announces the sudden passing of our beloved mother and grand-mother on August 1, 2001 at the Victoria Hospital at the age of 88 years. Ida will be greatly missed by her daughters, Maureen and Cheryl; son Bob; son-in-law Rick Friesen; grandchildren, Carly and Russell Friesen and Caitlin Blyth; sister-in-law Muriel Size of Long Beach; numerous nieces and nephews and special friends Alice Thomas and Peggy McLeod. She was predeceased by her husband Cliff and sisters, Lizzie, Belvah and Beulah of Saskatchewan, and her brother Gordon of California. Ida was born and raised in Esterhazy, SK, she taught school in Saskatchewan and in Winnipeg where she moved in 1943. The family would like to thank the staff and residents of Rosewood Village for their care and kindness. Cremation has taken place as Ida requested. Memorial service will be held on Friday, August 3, at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St., with the Rev. Tony Maunder officiating.
