YVES JULIEN Peacefully at the Notre Dame Hospital on Wednesday, August 1, 2001, Mr. Yves Julien of Notre Dame de Lourdes, MB passed away at the age of 67 years. He leaves to mourn his loving wife Evelyne (nee Robitbulkloadaille) and three children, Bob and Chris of Notre Dame de Lourdes, Vivianne and Ron Sosinkalo of Winnipeg and Jacqueline and Alan Grabinski of Winnipeg; eight grandchildren, Crystal, Alisha, Brayden, Danika, Jessica, Robert, Mikkel, Zandrea. He also leaves to cherish his memory one sister Bernice and husband Robert Bissell, one sister-in-law Constance Julien, and numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Jean-Baptiste and Marie (nee Hebrard) one brother Albert Julien; and by two sisters, Suzanne and Solange Julien. Yves was born June 16, 1934 on his parents farm located in Notre Dame de Lourdes, MB. He grew up in Notre Dame where he met and married Evelyne Robitbulkloadaille, May 20, 1961. Yves loved many things among which were his family, his work, his community and travelling. To spend time with his wife, children, grandchildren and extended family was his delight, teaching them the things he enjoyed most: fishing, hunting and the outdoors. Yves worked hard building a successful electrical contractor business in his small community; he took great pride in his work. Yves also always made time for the community he grew up in and loved so much. He became councillor as a young man and eventually was Mayor for many years during which time he persevered for the better of his community. He also gave of his time to the Centre de Sante Notre Dame, the fire brigade, the Foyer board and many more. One of Dads biggest loves was to travel and acquire knowledge of the world around us! We know Dad that you are now going to see the world! Prayers will be held at Adams Funeral Home on Friday, August 3 at 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the Notre Dame Roman Catholic Church on Saturday, August 4. Recitation of the Rosary at 1:00 p.m. followed by funeral mass at 1:30 p.m., with Fr. Celestin Malengu Mubaya officiating. Interment to follow in the Parish Cemetery.
