SHARON BEATON (Nee REID) Peacefully, after a courageous battle with cancer, Sharon passed away on August 1, 2001, at St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 54. She was predeceased by her parents, Fred and Lil Reid and brothers, Gordon and Garfield. Her memory will be forever cherished by her husband Brent; children, John (Cindy) Beaton, Darlene (Daryl) Chubak, Claudette (Tony) Robertson, Shelly (Nick) Sergenese, Michelle (Sheldon) Olivier; 12 grandchildren; sister Shirley (David) Nisbet; brother Norman (Doris) Reid; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Mom worked hard her entire life; she was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She provided a safe and happy home for her family and was their "Rock" when they needed someone to lean on. She loved her grandchildren immensely, they were truly her pride and joy. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 4 at 3:00 p.m. at the Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Viewing for friends will be at 2:30 p.m. Following the service, at Sharons request, cremation will take place and a private family interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Sharons memory to CancerCare Manitoba, ON109-675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg MB R3E 0V9.
