JESSIE (JUSTINA) OSTROWSKY It is with much sadness, our family announces the passing of our special aunt, great-aunt, sister, and sister-in-law. Peacefully on July 31, 2001, Jesse Ostrowsky passed away at her residence at the age of 69 years. Jessie will be extremely missed by her brother William and wife Shirley; her nieces, Diane (Mike), Janice; nephews, Gary (Sheri) and Wayne (Jennifer) and her four great-nieces and nephews, Tori, Callie, Tristen and Cole. She was predeceased by her brothers Steve, John, Nick and sister Stella Hares. Jessie was born on June 20, 1932 in Springfield, MB. She attended school at North Springfield Junior High, and furthered her education to obtain a diploma at Business College. Jessie obtained a position with Canada Metal where she most recently supervised the payroll division prior to her retirement. Jessie was a very proud and spirited lady who was quick with her laugh. She never missed acknowledging her families and special occasions. You could always be guaranteed a card of cheer or an invitation to dinner at her favourite restaurants to celebrate either a birthday, graduation, promotion or the birth of a new family member. Jessie was a very devoted and loving person, her simple needs in life reflected on what was most important to her - her family. Her nieces and nephews were her children whom she always affectionately called "Bunsy". With regards to her many friends, she was extremely grateful to those who took the time to assist her when her health failed, or just took the time to simply talk to her on the phone. The family wish to thank the management, staff and her friends at the Arms of the Cross, where she enjoyed her retirement years. Memorial service for family and close friends will take place at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 8 at Bardal Funeral Chapel, 843 Sherbrook St. Interment will follow at Ukrainian National Cemetery.
