FRIEDA WALDHAUSER (OMA) May 29, 1909 - August 1, 2001 Peacefully at Bethania Personal Care Home, with her family at her side, Frieda Waldhauser passed into the arms of the Lord. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Hans in 1965 and her son Carl in 1997, also by three brothers and two sisters. She will be sadly missed by her son John and daughters-in-law, Margaret and Kay; grandchildren, Ken (Moira), Dave (Sheryl), Kelly (Zorast), Karen (Craig) eight great-grandchildren; three sisters; and many nieces and nephews. Frieda loved to cook and bake. She was a kind, generous person with a great sense of humour who loved people, music and laughter. The family would like to express its most sincere thanks to the staff of Bethania Personal Care Home, particularly the North Station for the outstanding care Mom received during her three and one-half year stay. Your care, concern and support will always be remembered. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 8. Interment will follow in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society of Winnipeg, 120 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 4G2 or Bethania Personal Care Home, 1045 Concordia Ave., Winnipeg, MB R2K 3S7.
