ROBERT ERNEST DAYMENT 1941 - 2001 He lived to see 60 years. He celebrated that special day on July 24 with his loving wife, children, and grandchildren. He made his last dream come true - to visit Manitoba one last time, to spend time at the cottage in Hnausa and to share some final precious moments with family and close friends. At the age of 60 years and one week, dear Bob passed away on August 2 at the Seven Oaks Hospital in Winnipeg, in the quiet company of his companion and soulmate for more than 36 years, his loving wife Vivian (Palson), as well as several family members. Besides "Viv", Bob is survived by son Neil and wife Tammy; daughter Lori and husband Kevin Finnigan; and his two proudest treasures, grandsons, Bryce and Riley Dayment, all of Surrey, BC. He leaves to mourn and remember his brother Ken (and Bonnie), sister Shirley (and Rick Best), and sister Barbara Hirose. Also cherishing his memory are his mother-in-law Gudny Palson; brothers-in-law, Ken (and Sheila), Rod (and Debbie), Randy (and Donna) and a contingent of nieces and nephews who were his biggest fans - the extended family which he so greatly cherished. He is also survived by uncle Lorne Dayment and aunts, Mary Dayment and Ruth (Clarke) Stewart. He was predeceased by infant son James Cameron; his parents, Ralph and Margaret; and father-in-law Einar Palson. Bob was employed in commercial real estate in Winnipeg, Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver, an industry which was his passion. And, although encumbered by a series of ailments for the last 20 years, Bob lived life to the fullest and will be dearly missed by all those who appreciate the joy, love, laughs, optimism and happiness that he brought to our lives. A memorial service will take place on Tuesday, August 7, 1:00 p.m., at the Johnson Hall in the Betel Waterfront Centre, 94 - 1st Ave., Gimli. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bobs memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba or British Columbia. So long, elskun. And thanks for the memories. NEIL BARDAL INC. 949-2200
