Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryREV. GEORGE E. DUGARD November 27, 1908 - July 20, 2001 Called home suddenly after a lifetime in Gods service. George was born in Beausejour, MB to Annie and Edward Dugard. He completed studies in music and theology, pastoring in Winnipeg, California and Kelowna while also giving voice lessons and leading choirs. Music was his delight and he used it to enrich the lives of his students and those in his many choirs. A concert tenor soloist, he earned his A.R.C.T. as a solo performer following service in the Second World War. He is warmly remembered by members of the Sacred Music Society (Manitoba). He and his wife were staff members in the early years of Inter-Varsity Christian Fellowship in Canada. Rev. Dugard was predeceased by his wife Lillian (1993), his son-in-law Arthur P. Froese (2000), and his infant great-grandson Christopher (1996). He is survived by his daughters, Elizabeth Wray, Alison Froese, Rae-Merle OBrien; son-in-law Steven OBrien; granddaughters, Sheila Wray Gregoire (Keith), Shawna and Danielle Froese; great-granddaughters, Rebecca and Katie Gregoire; and sister-in-law Marge Dugard. A memorial service will be held on Monday, August 6 at 2:00 p.m. at Sobering Funeral Chapel, 1035 Park Ave. East, Beausejour, MB (1-877-776-2220).
