Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARGARET KATHLEEN McALLISTER September 1, 1909 - July 31, 2001 Peacefully at her residence Kay went to be with her Lord. Kay was predeceased by her sister Jean (Lyall) Cameron of Ontario, and her brother John (Barbara) McAllister of Winnipeg. She will be dearly missed by her twin sister Irene Sample of Burnaby, BC, and sister-in-law Barbara McAllister. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, Duncan Sample and John (Eve) Sample of British Columbia, Bill (Maxine) Cameron, Lynn (Clive) Morgan, Cheryl Burns and Jim (Jocelyne) Cameron all of Ontario, Margo (Dennis) Smith of Winnipeg, John (Leona) McAllister, Bill (Denise) McAllister and Megan (Stephen) Stecker all of the United States, Elsie Lynn Westgate and Ruth (Warren) Tuttle both of Alberta; and numerous cousins, grandnieces and nephews. Kay lived in Winnipeg all her life. She attended Daniel McIntyre Collegiate Institute going on to Success Commercial College. She was a member of the Quota Club of Winnipeg and took pride in her work with Royal Securities until her retirement at age 62. Kay was a longtime member of Broadway First Baptist Church. She often spoke fondly of summers spent with her family at the Victoria Beach cottage, located at the corner of 1st and 2nd, built by her father James McAllister in 1918. A private family service will be held on Wednesday, August 8 at Elmwood Cemetery, with the Rev. Murray Henderson officiating. Flowers are very gratefully declined.
