Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryELIZABETH (BETTY) MARY STEVENS (nee MILLER) On Friday, August 3, 2001 at the Selkirk General Hospital, Betty Stevens aged 81 years of St. Andrews, MB. Betty will be lovingly remembered by her husband Joe; sister Irene (Neil) nephew Peter McBeath (Lorraine) niece Mary Hill (Alan) great-nieces and nephews, Daniel and Andrea McBeath and Jennifer, Kenneth and Kristopher Hill; as well as many close friends. She was predeceased by her parents Peter (1952) and Mary (1969). Betty was born on July 19, 1920 at the Grace Hospital in Winnipeg, MB. She attended Isaac Brock School, Daniel McIntyre Collegiate as well as Dominion Business College. Betty was employed with the Liquor Control Commission for 48 years. She was a longtime member of the Forresters and was active for many years on the Alter Guild at St. Patrick and St. Jude Anglican Church. She as active at bowling and loved to go camping with Joe and tend to her flower garden. Betty will be remembered as a women who was outgoing and loved life. In accordance with Bettys wishes, a private family memorial service will be held. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the Homecare nurses and attendants, Dr. Fuchs and the nurses at Selkirk General Hospital, who all attended so caringly to Betty. Flowers are gratefully declined, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 301-352 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3B 2H8. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk, in care of arrangements.
