Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySISTER MARIE-JOSEPH (MARIE JOSEE) CAMPEAU Sister Marie-Joseph (Marie Josee) Campeau, also known as Sister Marie Adelard, entered Eternal Life on Friday, August 3, 2001 at the Provincial House of the Filles de La Croix. She was born 90 years ago in St. Norbert, MB, the daughter of the late Joseph Campeau and Emilie Tourigny. She was in the 70th year of life as a Fille de la Croix. She is predeceased by her parents, two brothers, and five sisters, and mourned by her Community and countless, loving and devoted nieces and nephews. She received her early education in St. Norbert and St. Adolphe. After her religious commitment, she chose the teaching profession and became an outstanding high school teacher for some 40 years. Many young men and women in Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and Quebec remember her with love and give her credit for their success in life. She demanded and obtained near perfection in both the academic field and the high moral standards of living from all her students. Before retiring, she accepted the responsibility of opening and organizing a school and live-in, now known as the Glenn McGuire School, for mentally challenged children in Oxbow, SK, then spent another year helping to start a french library in St. Boniface. After leaving her beloved profession, she was not ready to retire. She continued to serve, teaching Bible classes and doing pastoral work in various parishes of the St. Boniface diocese. Until recently, she was a volunteer worker at the Tache and Valade Care Homes. Sisters dynamic personality, her dedication for the well-being of everyone, her ready smile and warm hospitality will be sorely missed by the Sisters of her Community, her family and friends. The Community wishes to sincerely thank the doctors and nurses, specially our Infirmary staff, for the comforting and dedicated care our dear Sister received. A celebration of life and prayers will be held on Monday, August 6 at 7:30 p.m. at St. Eugene Church. Funeral services on Tuesday, August 7 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Eugene Church, 1007 St. Marys Rd. in St. Vital. LECLAIRE BROTHERS in care of arrangements. 775-2220.
