PEARLE BALLY (nee ATKINS) On Monday, July 30, 2001 after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer, Pearle, aged 71 years, met her creator with her family by her side. Sadly missed by her loving family Nancy, Kim, Gerry and Dennis and several grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Also devoted friend Gary Dinham and her loving sister June. Predeceased by her loving husband Kim Bally, mother Grace Dunn, stepfather Joseph Dunn, sister Marie Dowling and husband John and their daughter Dawn, brother-in-law Bill Pilon, many aunts and uncles and great-nieces and nephews. She is survived by her siblings Stann Atkins of Hawaii, Marj Heidbuurt of Winnipeg, Jean Phellps of Hartney, MB, and last but not least June Pilon and family. Pearle had many accomplishments in her life time. She was a legal secretary then became a very devoted wife and mother. After her husbands passing she took two jobs to help her family get their education. She then ran a bridge club. She was an Air Force Officers Widow for many years. She also belonged to both the Cancer Prevention and The Cancer Survivors Associations. She was a very determined person and never lazy. We, who cared and loved her will miss her very much, especially her sense of humour and quick wit. Memorial services in Ottawa took place on August 2 and her memorial service in Winnipeg will be held at the church at 533 Aberdeen Ave. at Andrews Street at 8:30 p.m., Tuesday, August 14. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cancer Prevention Association. "Im confident that she will receive her just rewards in Heaven."

  • The best way to describe mom is by saying she never gave up and I was there all the way to the end! She pushed on for 12 years after the gave her a maximum of just 6 months to live and cancer in her spine they say their loved one fought a courageous battle and I don't want to say badly of anyone else's loved none but mom was a inspiration to all around her!! Just want to end to thank you June for your help in the Winnipeg service Mom would of liked that! - Posted by: Kim Bally (Son) on: Apr 22, 2016
