IRENE DESROCHERS (nee LEONARD) Peacefully, on August 4, 2001, Irene passed away at the St. Boniface Hospital. She was predeceased by her husband Armand "Bob" in 1991. She leaves to mourn her passing her three children, sons, Leo (Marcelle), Roger (Marlene) and daughter Louise (Keith) her three brothers, Eugene, Maurice and Rene; her grandchildren, Rick, Michel, Jason, Paul, Kevin, Roger, Leah, Jason and Benjee; and many great-grandchildren. Mom retired from the St. Boniface Hospital after 33 years as a clerk typist. She and Dad enjoyed many summers in Wendigo Resort with family and friends. In her later years, she enjoyed trips to gambling casinos. Mom was also very proud of the fact she spent 13 years at St. Josephs Academy and never missed a day and was never late. Many thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff on the 4E wing at the St. Boniface Hospital. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 Des Meurons St., on Wednesday, August 8 at 1:00 p.m. Interment to follow at the Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations maybe made in Irenes memory to the St. Boniface Hospital Research Foundation, 409 Tache Ave., Winnipeg, MB, R2H 9Z9.
