Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryELIZABETH (LIZ) KEEN 1920 - 2001 Peacefully, at the Victoria Hospital, after a brief illness, Elizabeth (Liz) was reunited with her beloved husband, Francis, on Saturday, August 4, 2001. She will be greatly missed by her children, Kasper (Wendy), Jerry, Margaret (Orest) Petrash, Pauline (Chas) Paulusma, George (Gloria), Frank (Peggy), Gloria (Paul) Carriere, Peter (Clarissa), and Brian (Janine) her sister Alfie Salamandyk; her brothers, Charlie, Jules and Gene; three sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law; as well as 37 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Liz was predeceased by her husband, Francis in 1974. Liz was born in LaBroquerie, MB and spent most of her life in St. Vital. Her life was centred on her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed dancing and bowling until her health started failing. Family gatherings were her favourite activities as the family was very close. The family wishes to thank the staff on Unit 5 South at the Victoria Hospital for the extraordinary care that was given to Liz and her family. Funeral mass will be celebrated by Father Marcel Toupin at the St. Eugene Catholic Church, 1007 St. Marys Rd. in St. Vital on Wednesday, August 8, at 7:00 p.m. Honorary pallbearers will be Lizs sons and daughter-in-law whom she loved and cherished as her own children. Private interment of Lizs cremated remains will take place in St. Vital Cemetery on River Road the following day. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lizs memory to the Manitoba Heart and Stroke Foundation, 301-352 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3B 2H8. LECLAIRE BROTHERS in care of arrangements. 775-2220
