Date of Passing: Aug 06, 2001
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryTHOMAS (TIM) BADOUR It is with deep regret that we announce the passing of Tim Badour on the 6th day of August, 2001 at the Grace General Hospital, at the age of 66 years. He is survived by his wife Isabel of 34 years of marriage, son Blake of Winnipeg, daughter Erin of Los Angeles, and by his five brothers and their families. Tim served in the Armed Forces for 32 years. While serving, he played hockey throughout Europe and Canada. He was an outstanding athlete winning many awards in hockey, curling, and golf. This athletic ability, combined with self-determination, and love of life, gave him the strength and courage to combat his many illnesses throughout the years. He was a selfless and sincere man, who was loved by everyone who met him. Others never knew the suffering he endured because he never complained about his illness and he always wore a smile on his face. Tims devoutness to his Christian faith transcended to his love and devotion to his family, friends, and humanity. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, August 10 at 1:30 p.m. in the Blessed John XXIII Roman Catholic Church, 3390 Portage Ave. at Rouge Road, with Rev. Msgr. Norman J. Chartrand, P.A. presiding. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society (Manitoba Division), 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 2B7, or the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 301-352 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3B 2H8.
