SUSAN (SUSIE) GOETZ On Monday morning, August 6, 2001, Susie Goetz, aged 48 years, passed away peacefully with family by her side at the St. Boniface General Hospital after a short but courageous fight with cancer. She is survived by her parents, Gerhard and Susanna Goetz; brothers, Vic (Pam), Heinz (Cindy) and Cornelius (Rosella) sisters, Katie Goetz and Alvina (John) Enns and their families. She was predeceased by her nephew Christopher in 1988 and by her brother Gerhard in 1999. Susie was born in Paraguay on September 2, 1952 and came to Canada in 1963. Upon her confession of faith, she was baptized in Springfield Heights Mennonite Church in 1976. She was a joyful Christian who was prepared to meet her Lord. Funeral service will be held Wednesday August 8, 10:30 a.m. at Douglas Mennonite Church, Douglas and Rothesay. Viewing will be held one half-hour prior to the service. Interment at Mennonite Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations in Susies memory may be made to MCC or The Fathers House.
